His proactive community involvement includes being a motivational speaker in schools and community centers, addressing pressing issues like gun violence reduction, , conflict mediation, employment readiness and sustainability, education, peer pressure, and domestic violence and other topics affecting the African American community
Presently, he hosts LIVE FROM THE CULTURE a nationwide podcast on XM SIRUIS RADIO two days a week covering unique and eye opening black culture and African culture topics that you normally don’t hear about.
EZ also works as a radio personality at 96.3 WHUR hosting the number 1 rated Saturday Night Block Party that features his DJ mixes and interviews with local DC recording artists. He also is a featured sports analysis covering the Washington Commanders for FOX 5 DC. He also was the official DJs for NBC Sports Washington, covering the Washington Wizards.
He recently received the President Joe Biden & Vice President Kamala Harris Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Service.
A proud parent of three and a US Marine Corps Veteran, his youngest daughter, DJ Little Bacon Bear, currently tops her time slot at WKYS under his guidance.
The culmination of his efforts is the The ACADEMY DC, which trains, returning citizens, under resourced youth, middle and high school students and more with knowledge of the music industry, song recording and engineering, podcasting, film making, acting while encouraging personal and professional growth through life and soft skill trainings. His CSOSA program for returning citizens is one of the most successful Re-entry programs in agency history and is known for its unique approach in reducing recidivism to increase public safety in the District of Columbia.
